Description
An emulsion of high-quality de-waxed amber shellac, this low-VOC water-based sealer is suitable for use in new work and restoration. It serves as a wood conditioner to help stains or dyes saturate evenly, and as a sanding sealer for levelling open-pored woods and enhancing the grain.
Because it bonds so well, it can also be used as a barrier between incompatible coatings. The sealer is tintable with universal pigments or water-soluble aniline dyes, and can be brushed, wiped or sprayed. As it is non-flammable, it is far safer to atomize than alcohol-cut shellac. Quick drying in 40 minutes; ready for sanding or recoating in an hour. Cleans up easily with soap and water. 1 quart. Coverage is about 100 sq.ft.
